Tamarisk Ranchos II

Modernist Oasis & Desert Legacy

Nestled within the storied enclave of Tamarisk Ranchos II, not I, but its equally captivating counterpart — this mid-century modern interior by Studio Cadette honors both architectural heritage and modern sensibility. With its roots intertwined with Hollywood’s elite, including Groucho Marx and Eden Hartford, the home celebrates desert modernism with a refreshed narrative. We reimagined interiors for relaxed luxury, working alongside the landscape, the community’s signature pool, and the poetic history of Rancho Mirage, crafting an elegant fusion of legacy and contemporary comfort.

“We didn’t just elevate a home — we celebrated its heritage, layering mid-century modern with a new kind of clarity.”

— Courtney Fikri

Each space reflects the original mid-century ethos, updated with calm restraint and purpose. Clean lines and rich materiality honor the legacy of Palmer & Krisel while foregrounding modern detail. Social moments, from poolside lounging to indoor gatherings, feel as timeless as the community itself.

“This home doesn’t just reference history; it lives within it, with every surface echoing a story beyond the walls.”

Tamarisk Ranchos II sits at the confluence of time. Steeped in legacy, book-captured in Mod Mirage, and framed by the golden age of Rancho Mirage, this project is less about redesigning a space and more about stewardship. Studio Cadette’s layering of interior warmth, smart minimalism, and community context creates a home that belongs to both its era and ours.
